TILLAMOOK COUNTY
In addition to the larger cities, just up the coast are the quaint villages of Manzanita and Cannon Beach, each offering award-winning restaurants, long, pristine beaches, surfing, boutique shopping, day spas, two state parks.
The Hoffman Center in Manzanita offers a wide variety of art, cultural and educational events, including musical, stage, dance and lecture, as well as classes in the arts. The Manzanita Writers Series sponsors monthly readings by well-known published authors as an adjunct to the Hoffman Center's program.
Fishing (both fresh water and charter), hiking, biking, wildlife, kayaking and touring the beautiful scenery abound in this wonder area. Industry in Tillamook includes dairy farms, lumber mills, feed mill, Tillamook Cheese Factory and the Tillamook Country Smoker. The Port of Tillamook Bay hosts a railroad, small plane airport, air museum and a bio-gas methane digester/compost facility.

Tillamook is known as the city of "Cheese, Trees and Ocean Breeze." Tillamook is a beautiful, small rural community of 4,000 people in a county with a population of 23,000. It is located 75 miles from five larger cities - Astoria/Seaside, Lincoln City, Portland, McMinnville and Salem.
We are approximately seven miles from the ocean, and we have five rivers that run through the city itself, as well as outlying areas, with the most robust salmon run in the lower 48.
