Regular Check Ups & Annual Physicals
Regular check ups & annual physicals are important for healthy people to stay well. We at Bay Ocean Medical encourage preventative maintenance when it comes to your health. We recommend a physical exam once every 5 years for age 20 to 40. Ages forty to fifty, a physical every 2 years and after age fifty physicals should be done each year. This will allow your healthcare provider early detection and prevention for many common conditions that may have no symptoms such as high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, blood vessel blockages, and many types of cancers.

Cancer Screening
Women should have annual PAP smear for cervical, uterine & HPV cancer starting at age twenty. Breast exams and mammograms beginning at age thirty-five. Men should have an annual prostate check starting at age forty-five. We recommend both men & women have colon cancer screening starting at age fifty.

Rx Refills
The most expedient way to refill your Rx is by contacting your pharmacy. We have procedures in place to process your request quickly. Please allow 24-48 hours for refills. If there are no concerns with refilling your Rx, your request will be filled. Additional phone calls to our medical assistants, unfortunately will only cause further delay.
